Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.

If you have concerns regarding the safeguarding or welfare of any pupils, please contact Mrs Freeman (Designated Safeguarding Lead), or Mrs Wyke (Back-up Designated Lead) or Mrs Gilfoyle (Back-up Designated Lead).

St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School participates in Operation Encompass. Following the report of an incident or domestic abuse, school will be advised that the child has been involved. Please see the school website for further details.

Mental Health - It is good to talk!

Still image for this video
This is a small animation from our School Mental Health Team highlighting how good it is to talk to eachother and also to be kind to oneanother. A big thank you to Miley, Lily and Sebastien for all your continued hard work in putting this together and forming our School Mental Health Group.

We are delighted to share with you a new NHS funded service, designed to support young people aged 7-12 who are experiencing worries or anxieties; Lumi Nova. Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB have partnered with BFB Labs to offer free access to Lumi Nova for children and young people living in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre!

What is Lumi Nova?

Lumi Nova is an intergalactic adventure game to support young people to fight fears & manage worries. Whilst exploring planets, customising characters and earning treasure your child breaks their fears and worries down into manageable steps, learning life-long skills and building resilience.
