Welcome to the Governor section of our school website. We hope that this section provides the information that you were looking for however, should you require any further information relating to governance, please do not hesitate to contact the Chair of Governors (Mr Gerard Lawrenson) with your query via the school bursar or the Headteacher. Note that for the 2022/2023 academic year Mrs Pauline MacDougall will take on the role of Acting Headteacher, during this period we will endeavour to make sure that all areas of the website remain topical and apologise for any inaccuracies.
The Governance section is structured around two distinct areas; one for Parents/Carers and one for School Governors.
The Parent Area is unrestricted and contains general information relating to governance, the details of the membership of the Governing Body, the roles of its members and a declaration of any business interests that individual governors may have, which is a mandatory requirement for all schools including academies.
You will also be able to access a copy of our Instrument of Government which came into effect on 01/09/2015, following Local Authority and Diocesan approval of a request for reconstitution, which was formally proposed at the Spring Term meeting of the Full Governing Body.
Finally you will also find links to other sources of information which may be of interest to you as a parent or carer.
The Governor Area is restricted for use by Governors of the school and a password is required for access. The area contains important information for Governors including policies and plans, a document review schedule, Committee meeting minutes and links to guidance, training and support.
