Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.

If you have concerns regarding the safeguarding or welfare of any pupils, please contact Mrs Gili-Ross (Designated Safeguarding Lead), or Mrs Byrne (Back-up Designated Lead) or Mrs Gilfoyle (Back-up Designated Lead).

St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School participates in Operation Encompass. Following the report of an incident or domestic abuse, school will be advised that the child has been involved. Please see the school website for further details.

Kidsafe

Kidsafe's preventative approach takes children's mental health and safeguarding to the next level. Kidsafe programmes train school staff to teach children directly, in an age appropriate way, to speak out about issues that could lead to ACE's - Adverse Childhood Experiences, trauma or have a detrimental impact on their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Mrs Byrne and Mrs Gilfoyle are our registered Kidsafe UK tutors, along with KS who helps us to follow and understand the Kidsafe rules.
